• Landsat 7 beta product for South America available for download off of GLCF site.

In an effort to meet the demands of the Earth science community, GLCF, in partnership with NASA GSFC, made available the first public portion of what will be the Landsat ETM+ data buy. Currently the product is undergoing validation but nevertheless is extremely valuable. Already, the USFS and FAO are making use of this beta version. This product will be of particular value due to the fact that it will be possible to integrate it with the Landsat 4-5 orthorectified data buy which is nearing completion and is currently available through GLCF.

• As part of ongoing regional studies of the Caribbean, GLCF is making available for free download Landsat 7 terrain-corrected coverage for all of the Caribbean ecosystem.

  This data set is distinct from the two data buys we currently make available for the area. As such, the terrain-corrected Landsat data is in addition to the orthorectified coverage(s) already available. The data set was originally purchased by NASA for USFS. Notable users now include Island Press.
