Developing World

NASA/USGS and UNEP provide a free copy of the Landsat GeoCover imagery to each developing nation of the world. See the following table for the official designation from the UNEP. The GLCF provides free access via FTP to all GeoCover datasets. The GLCF (with support from NASA) is providing country specific copies of Landsat GeoCover on external hard drives to the UNEP for distribution to the environmental agency of each developing world country. Please contact the GLCF Data Manager for further information.

Developed World

Developed nations, however, are assumed to have the bandwidth capability or financial resources to acquire their own copies. See the following table for the official designation from the UNEP. The GLCF provides free access via FTP to all GeoCover datasets. Country specific datasets are also available for purchase on hard media (CD-ROM or external hard drive).
